ASA Construction Group Roundtable
Summary
On 10 October 2024, the ASA Construction Group will host the the next edition of its roundtable, A Construction Disputes Evergreen – Dealing with Delay.
Delays are one of the most common challenges in construction projects, often leading to extended timelines and increased costs. These delays can stem from a variety of causes, including funding issues, inadequate scheduling and resource allocation, changes in project scope, design modifications, labor and material shortages, supply chain delays, regulatory issues, unforeseen site conditions, adverse weather, technical challenges, and contractual disputes. Understanding how to navigate and mitigate these delays is essential for effectively assisting and representing clients during or after project execution.
Join us for an informal, interactive roundtable discussion where participants will exchange insights and experiences on the common causes of delays, techniques for analyzing them, legal implications, and contractual considerations in delay disputes. Additionally, best practices for presenting and defending against delay claims in arbitration proceedings will be explored. This event offers an excellent opportunity for ASA members experienced in construction arbitration to engage in a lively debate on current industry issues and to connect with fellow practitioners.
