Webinar co-organised by ASAb40 and HK45, on “Counsel Fees in Arbitration – Reforms and Challenges”. The webinar will take place on Thursday, 13 January 2022 at 11:00am (CET) / 6:00pm (HKT).

Our distinguished panelists, including the co-chair of the Hong Kong Law Reform Commission sub-committee on outcome related feet structures for arbitration, in-house counsel, third-party funder and counsel, will explore the following two topics:

• Outcome related fee structures – does a new era dawn? The panel, comprised of the co-chair of the Hong Kong Law Reform Commission sub-committee, in-house counsel, third-party funder and counsel, will explore the recent recommendations in Hong Kong on outcome related fee structures for arbitration, the current framework in Switzerland and other jurisdictions in Europe.
• Fee arrangements – are lawyers up to the challenges and recent demands of clients? We will discuss with an in-house counsel, third party funder and counsel the practical challenges concerning fee arrangements and what the future holds in store.
