The fees, costs and expenses of the Swiss Arbitration Centre and the mediator (the “Mediation Costs”) are determined pursuant to Section VIII of the Swiss Rules and the Schedule of Costs (Appendix B to the Swiss Rules) in force on the date the Request for Mediation is submitted to the Secretariat.
The parties and the mediator are free to agree on the mediator’s fees pursuant to Article 24 of the Swiss Rules.
The Registration Fee amounts to CHF 1’000 for each party to the mediation.
If the Request for Mediation is submitted jointly by the parties, each party shall pay an equal share of the Registration Fee.
If the Request for Mediation is submitted by one party, this party shall pay the total amount of the Registration Fee.
For Simplified Designation Procedures pursuant to Article 5 of the Swiss Rules, the Registration Fee is CHF 1’000. If the mediation involves more than two parties, an additional Registration Fee of CHF 250 per additional party shall be paid.
The Registration Fee is non-refundable and subject to V.A.T. at the standard rate of 8.1%.
All payments must be made in Swiss Francs (CHF) and received net of any bank charges.

The Administrative Costs are determined pursuant to Article 23 of the Swiss Rules and 2 of the Schedule of Costs (Appendix B to the Swiss Rules) in force on the date the Request for Mediation is submitted to the Secretariat. Administrative Costs are subject to V.A.T. at the standard rate of 8.1%.
