The Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court (“FIAMC”) is the oldest and most prestigious moot court competition in the field of investment law. In response to the Belt and Road Initiative and with the great support from the Ministry of Commerce of China, CIETAC firstly introduced the FIAMC into China in 2019, which was reported by the Legal Daily (法治日报), the most influential and authoritative media in the Chinese legal sector. In the past years, CIETAC has further expanded the scale of the competition and held four Chinese mainland national rounds, which attracted registrations of more than 800 participants from China’s top-notch law schools.
Throughout the years, CIETAC Hong Kong Arbitration Center has been the hosting body under CIETAC for the Chinese mainland national rounds. CIETAC Hong Kong Arbitration Center is the first branch of CIETAC established outside the Chinese mainland in 2012 and has been serving as a major outreach connecting point of CIETAC to the Asia-Pacific region and a super-connector within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
